Cannot Install Bacula When Symantec was Installed

Would someone help me to install Bacula. I have tried installing it but it was unsuccessful. When I removed Symantec Endpoint Security RU5, the said software was installed successfully. Is there any compatibility issue for both softwares? Please advise.

Cannot Install Bacula When Symantec was Installed

I have withdrawn all policies except Anti Virus and Anti Spyware and Liveupdate but still Bacula cannot be installed. I have also disable Symantec but still failed. Any idea? Thanks! [Crying or Very sad]

I have successfully installed Bacula by adding bacula-fd.exe in the centralized exemptions under Security Risk.

I also have a customer running a windows server 2003 with symantec endpoint protection and a 3.0.x fd. I have no problems on that host so far.
BUT at the same customer there is a win vista box where the backup fails when symantec is running.

One of the sides of the company I work for is computer repair. Of the
non-hardware related stuff that comes in the door, half the time the
problem is a virus, and the other half of the time the problem is
antivirus software, normally the firewall side of it.

Sometimes I prefer viruses to antivirus software! My favourite Symantec
product is the one that uninstalls all Symantec software :)

I have seen that product behave as bad as a virus so I know what you
are talking about. Only problem for us is this is what the entire
company has licensed and it would be difficult to purchase a different
product if we wanted to do so.

It works fine with Symantec Enpoint 11.0.5 Protection and older here.
