I heard that to insure healthy sharks/rays that I am to add iodine to the water/diet. I really don't want any of them to get goiter disease ; ;. I am not sure how to go about this. Any advice would be great ^^.

Test first. Add second. Too much, and it will act as an oxidizer and have adverse affects.

The idea of changing out MH bulbs is not because they won't work after a
year, but because the spectrum of the bulbs shift as they age and after a
while they may no longer suit the needs of your corals.

Just wondering about replacing lights, do the mh lights need replaced
before they blow? Like the blue actnick lights do?
Lol it's hard to buy new lights when the ones I have are working, but
if need be....
Ps I got a new pink tail trigger!! Actually a pair, and they get along
well. They beg for food and eat out of my hand just
Like my husband. Lol
Petco begged me to adopt someones shark, so I did I fell for it,
actually it looks like a catfish, whiskers and all. No problems yet
other than lots of food!! He's about 5 inches long.

If you do regular water changes you're probably already keeping iodine
levels where they should be in the tank. I don't see there being a big demand
for it in a fish only tank. If not then you can add it, however never add
anything you aren't testing for.
